THE CARE AND FEEDING OF YOUR SCRIPT

At Script Nannies, we understand how close a writer is to their screenplay.  This is your “baby” that you’ve created and guided to birth.  And, before you put your script to bed, you want to make sure it’s ready.  We will give you guidance, encouragement and advice so that when the script goes out into the world, it has the best shot at success.

There are dozens of consultants out there, but Script Nannies offers a unique nurturing experience.  We hold your hand during a rewrite, and don’t cut off the phone or relationship after the consultation has been completed.  We pride ourselves on being a grass roots company.  Unlike other consultants who pawn off your script to a team of a readers who deliver boiler plate and screenwriter seminar jargon, WE read your script, and WE talk with you one-on-one about how to prepare your “baby” for surviving in the real world of production companies, agencies and contests.

In our consultations, we provide a careful analysis of your screenplay, with close attention paid to themes, characters, dialogue, structure, description, craft and commercial viability.  Instead of delivering a page of faceless notes with screenwriting or literary terms, we work with you to nurture and shape your script for submission to a contest, agency or production company.

Since we are currently employed as story analysts, we are in touch with what companies are looking for, what the new trends are, what has already been done and what is currently in development.  Having to read and analyze scripts has given us a finely tuned ability to discern what works in a film story and why, and more importantly what doesn’t work, why, and how it can be fixed.

After reading your script and discussing your goals for the project, we can advise you as to which companies, agencies and/or contests would be the best matches for your material.  This will give you an even better shot at getting your “baby” into the right hands.
